Workshop: Tweet"Hands-on CQRS with Axon Framework"
Unfortunately, this tutorial had to be canceled. However, if you are interested in this topic feel free sign up to a similar event taking place on November 18th in Amsterdam. Take me to this event
In this 1-day tutorial Allard Buijze, the creator of Axon Framework, will guide delegates through the process of creating an application based on CQRS with the Axon Framework. Attendees will learn to design the domain models and implement the command and query components. Most of the workshop will be dedicated to labs where the attendees can apply CQRS patterns hands-on.
The session in split, so that in the first half of the tutorial attendees will learn the core CQRS concepts and start designing the domain model whereby emphasis is on choosing aggregate boundaries and deciding on the commands and events to use. The second part is the coding, where the design sessions from the morning are implemented. Delegates will be implementing command handlers, query components, sagas and -first of all- tests.
Target audience:
(Java) Developers eager to learn about ways to implement a CQRS based architecture
Prerequisites:
Good java knowledge is required for the afternoon labs. Knowledge of Domain Driven Design is an advantage but not absolutely required. The tutorial does cover the basic concepts.
