The Heart of Agile

Host: Alistair Cockburn

When: 8. Jun 2015 at 17:30 - 19:30

Where: NNIT, Østmarken 3A, 2860 Søborg

Abstract

The Heart of Agile, and Answering Questions with Stories
This session will run in two parts.
In the first part, Agile Manifesto co-author Alistair Cockburn will respond to open questions from the audience by telling stories from the hundreds of projects and companies he has seen, instead of just giving opinions.
Stories answer questions in a wonderful way that includes details left out of straightforward answers.
Plus, they are more fun to listen to.

In the second part, Alistair will open a discussion on the "heart of agile", what you have when you strip away the decorations of the modern brands. Be prepared to discuss and offer your own views of what is inside the heart of agile.

Bio
Alistair Cockburn is one of the initiators of the agile movement in software development, helping write the Manifesto for Agile Software Development in 2001, the agile PM Declaration of Interdependence in 2005, and co-founding the International Consortium for Agile in 2009.
He is internationally famous for his work on making use cases effective, as well as the Crystal family of methodologies and his work keeping software development humane and practical.
