Gil Tene, Azul Systems
Gil co-founded Azul Systems in 2002 with the goal of bringing network attached processing to the enterprise market. With almost two decades of technology engineering successes, he guides Azul Systems' architectural vision and product design to align with business and market opportunities. Gil was previously Director of Technology at Nortel Networks, delivering the Shasta Networks solution and at Check Point Software Technologies, he delivered several industry-leading traffic management solutions including the industry's first Firewall-1 based security appliance in partnership with Nokia. He has built several industry leading products at Stratus Computer, Qualix/Legato, and Nice Systems, and he served in the Israeli Navy Computer R and D unit. Gil has been involved with virtual machine technologies for the past 15 years and has been building Java technology based products since 1995. He holds a BSEE from The Technion Israel Institute of Technology.
