Presentation: Tweet"MORNING KEYNOTE: Swarm-Stupidity"
Every year, your bosses are preaching for something which does not exist in your company: this could be innovation, resilience, client orientation, or agility. Managers are calling it "motto". It was carefully designed during many, many top meetings. Now it's up to you to make it happen! one of the more modern mottos is "use swarm intelligence", which would solve most problems in your enterprise. Unfortunately, we are observing swarm stupidity every day. The stupid swarm, often called a team, is a group of intelligent people who are working extremely hard and suffering during lots of meetings for dumb outputs.
The talk reveals some roots of stupidity: management's utopia syndromes (e.g. "please achieve more than 100% billable hours") lead to immense pressure leads to process turbulences leads to lots of meetings to resolve issues leads to stress and overtime leads to lack of time to deliver quality work leads to....swarm stupidity, which means working harder without having any benefit.
