Biography: Jon McKay

Jon McKay graduated from Olin College of Engineering in 2013 with a degree in computer engineering. At Olin, Jon primarily focused on web development, computer architecture, and hardware design. Since graduating, he has co-founded Technical Machine – a company building developer tools that merge the previously disparate worlds of embedded hardware and web development. The first product of the company is an open-source software and hardware platform called Tessel. Tessel is the world's first Node.js-compatible, JavaScript programmable microcontroller that allows a whole new audience of web developers start prototyping with hardware.
