Presentation: TweetErlang still evolves for multi-core and cloud environments
Erlang's basic features are a perfect match for the challenges with multi-core and cloud environments. Being rooted in an actor model designed to work in a distributed system is an enormous advantage, but there are still room for improvement, so there is ongoing research funded by the EU to better the tools and abilities of the Erlang platform for these environments.
The talk will outline why Erlang is so well positioned as a core technology for multi-core and cloud problems and present both the results already obtained in the EU-project RELEASE as well as the ongoing work.
