Biography: Chief Technical Officer Scott Rich

Scott Rich is a Distinguished Engineer and Chief Technical Officer for IBM Rational Software in Northeast Europe. He was the lead for the Jazz Foundation Project, and a founding member of the Jazz project.

Scott is a member of the core team of the IBM Tools Development Council, and was previously development lead for Rational Application Developer.

He has worked at IBM for 23 years, holding a number of technical positions in that time on VisualAge for Smalltalk and Java, WebSphere Studio, and now Rational's team tools.

"Jazz" is IBM Rational's vision for collaborative software development tools.

Scott will talk about why IBM started on this journey, the technology of the Jazz platform, and how Jazz-based products like Rational Team Concert enable collaborative software development.

Rational Team Concert is free for teams of up to 10, and used by teams of 100s around the globe, enabling Agile and traditional teams to collaborate and succeed in software delivery.

Scott will also discuss the latest work on integrating Application Lifecycle Management tools from IBM as well as others using Jazz and Open Services for Lifecycle Collaboration (OSLC).
