Having worked on Elasticsearch for about two years, he enjoys writing code, giving talks and trainings, and introducing people to all things ELK. In this talk, Alex will provide an overview of the different ways to secure an Elasticsearch cluster and your ELK environment. He will cover standard use cases, such as putting HTTP proxies in front of Elasticsearch, then illustrate the advantages and obstacles of each option.
He'll conclude with a discussion of how and why Elasticsearch Shield was built, including how it helps you secure both your data and communication. Use case examples for Shield will also be on offer.
