Presentation: Changing the World

Track: Scrum / Time: Thursday 13:20 - 14:10 / Location: Graanbeurszaal

Agile practices have fundamentally changed the way products are created and business is done across the planet. NASA, SpaceX, John Deere, Tesla, Microsoft, Google, Yahoo!, Facebook, banks, manufacturers, defense, pharmaceuticals, the list goes on. There is almost no industry untouched by this new way of working.

The most important role that Scrum might play though, is not in the workplace, it is in the world. In this talk JJ Sutherland, Chief Content Officer of Scrum Inc. and co-author of Scrum: The Art of Doing Twice the Work in Half the Time, will share examples of where Scrum is having some of its greatest impacts: the Arab Spring, educating our children, fighting poverty in rural Africa, and changing the social contract on how we govern ourselves.
