Nilguin van Raad, Agile Transition Manager at ING

Nilguin van Raad

Biography: Nilguin van Raad

Nilguin works at ING since 1998. After being an information analyst and project manager for about 7 years, she got involved in Lean, Six Sigma and Operational Management. And it appeared to be her great passion!
After 5 years she got the chance to apply the same concepts in Internet & Mobile, experimenting with the very first Agile implementation in ING. After this successful transition in 2011, she became manager of the Product Owners of the Mobile Banking App and the Internet Security Team. Last year she faced a new challenge in managing an even larger transition with both business and IT of Commercial Banking.

Presentation: Agile at Scale - How to make it work?

Track: Scrum / Time: Thursday 15:50 - 16:40 / Location: Graanbeurszaal

During this interactive presentation Nilguin will mainly discuss two topics, based on challenges and answers found during Agile transitions within ING:

  • What is the next step in scaling your Agile transition? What do you do if one feature requires work from many teams in order to release it to your customers? How can you make that work?
  • And governance… What can you do to prevent this holding back your teams? How can you make sure governance processes like portfolio management become Agile too?
