Rashid Khan, TweetKibana Guy at Elasticsearch
Biography: Rashid Khan
Rashid Khan is an operations engineer turned software developer at Elasticsearch. After 10 years in operations, he penned the first version of Kibana. Originally conceived as a performant web interface to Logstash, Kibana now serves as an analysis, visualization and dashboarding platform for Elasticsearch. Rashid has been known to hide his laptop from himself to make time for fine food, cheap wine and ill-conceived automotive maintenance endeavors.

Yeah. I don't want to go back there either.
Join me for a demo heavy session on the past, present and future of open source log analysis with Kibana. Catch a retrospective on what we've been up to over the last year and see just how far things have come.
In addition to a whirlwind touch of the all new aggregation and visualization features, this session will cover the how and why of the new Kibana architecture. We'll play with some log data and see how Kibana pairs time based events with non-time sources of knowledge on a single dashboard. We'll also spend a bit of time talking about the future and where Kibana is going this year and beyond.
