Host
Erik Doernenburg
Track abstract
Over the past decade the internet has gone from useful technology to essential part of our personal lives, of day-to-day business, and society. With its growing importance the internet has come under attack from many directions. Criminal hackers are more determined and resourceful than ever, espionage and surveillance are common-place, and political and commercial interests are limiting the concept of a free internet. In this track we explore these developments from different angles, offering some ideas on what we as technologists can do for the internet to live up to its potential.
