Biography: Barry Galster

Interested in technology ever since the 8088 chip, Barry has been working in the financial industry for fifteen years. He has been involved in all aspects of software engineering and leverages this in his role at IMC Financial Markets, a global market maker. Previously, he was with CME Group as Executive Director of Trade Execution Systems, leading the team responsible for development of the matching engine. Prior to Barry’s focus in the technology of electronic trading, he was an engineer in custom clearing house software at CME Group and The Options Clearing Corporation, the later while working at Deloitte Consulting. Barry holds a B.S. in Computer Science from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign.
