Track abstract

We will soon see the release of a new version of the Java platform. This has been long in the coming, due to several circumstances. After Oracle's acquisition of Sun, there has been lots of discussions about what the future of Java will bring. At the end of 2010, a major upheaval went through the JCP. And Oracle is suing Google over Android. All of these events and many more mean that it's hard to see exactly what is in store for Java. This track will feature several prominent names in the Java community, talking about what's in store for Java, both from a technical and a political side.
