The Program Committee:

How do they get inspired when creating the GOTO conferences?

In January 2010, while most of Europe was snowed in, the GOTO program committee were sweating in the Caribbean: not only because of the heat--they were actually working hard to create this year’s GOTO Aarhus conference program. The 15 industry experts from all over the world met at "Big" Dave Thomas' house in Anguilla and this year there are 6 new members to team:

Brian Goetz - Author of "Java Concurrency in Practice"
Lauren Cooney - Group Product Manager, Web Platform at Microsoft
Michael Nygard - Author of "Release IT,
Martin Nally - IBM Fellow and Rational CTO
Dan Ingalls - Principal Architect: Smalltalk environment
Martin Fowler - Chief Scientist at ThoughtWorks, Loud-mouth on Object Design

With this new energy working on the program, lots of new ideas and new speakers will come forth at JAOO 2010. "It was very rewarding to work with 6 new people. A lot of new speaker names came up. Bill Buxton as keynote speaker, that's Lauren Cooney's achievement. We have tried for years to get him to come to GOTO Aarhus. She made it happen", says Trifork member of the committee, conference editor Aino Vonge Corry.

Aino and ,Trifork CTO, Kresten Krab Thorup brought a video camera to document the birth of GOTO 2010 program and we will be releasing small clips in the next few weeks.
