Track: Solutions Wednesday / Time: Wednesday 11:30 - 12:20 / Location: Keurzaal

Axon Framework is becoming quite popular for projects where a complex domain has to be combined with high scalability van performance. Based on a number of use-cases, Allard Buijze will explain how Axon framework helps developers to address several non-functional aspects, common in many applications nowadays. Learn how event sourcing can help with auditing requirements and detect fraud. How the event-driven model and location transparence of Axon components helps break a monolith into microservices. You will also see how GeriMedica’s data helps improve healthcare in general and how Casumo, an online casino, keeps their spin-button fast, while ensuring full compliance with regulation.

Rene de Waele, Software Architect at Trifork

Rene de Waele

Biography: Rene de Waele

René has a background in the natural sciences with a PhD in physics. He likes to get to the heart of a hard problem but more than anything likes to build cool new stuff.

In 2010 he made the switch from science to software development. That year he co-founded Bridge Big, an online platform where bridge players compete in tournaments to win big prizes. From the ground up Bridge Big was built as a highly scalable platform supporting very large numbers of players using the Axon Framework as the backbone.

René is still the CTO of Bridge Big but in 2015 he joined Trifork as software architect to work on other cool products. Part of his time he works on the next major version of the Axon Framework.
