Databases & NoSQL

Track abstract
Over the past few years the NoSQL movement has grown significantly, allowing early adopters a much greater degree of freedom and more tradeoff alternatives when choosing database and persistence approaches for their applications. A number of companies have experienced success with various NoSQL approaches, achieving application capabilities, capacities, scale, and performance that would have been more difficult or even impossible using traditional approaches. The first NoSQL databases focused on unstructured data, but the field now seems to shift back towards structured data, empowering programmers to perform more advanced queries than previously possible, both in SQL and NoSQL-land.
