Biography: Eberhard Wolff

Eberhard Wolff has been working for more than 15 years as architect and consultant. Currently he is a Fellow for innoQ in Germany. In total he authored more than 100 articles and books. He is a regular speaker and has been a member of the program committees of several international conferences. His technological focus are modern architectures - often using Cloud, Continuous Delivery, DevOps, Microservices or NoSQL.

Microservices are the latest hype for software architectures. But just creating a set of small systems is by far not enough. Self-contained Systems (SCS) focus on an architecture approach based on Microservices. It is in particular useful for large systems and complex team structures. SCS allow to efficently develop software in such environments - even in the long run. The workshop explains Self-contained Systems, their advantages and disadvantages and the difference to Microservices.
