Software Craftsmanship

Track abstract
In 2003 Robert C. Martin wrote an article on software craftsmanship titled “We will not ship shit”. With Agile becoming mainstream, people seem to focus on speed of development. With Agile you go fast right! Take web development frameworks like Rails for example. It does a magnificent job on getting results out fast. This is of course a good thing, but also has it’s drawbacks. Projects start with lightspeed but when you don’t pay close attention to design principles like SOLID they might come to a grinding halt. One of the principles in the Agile Manifesto is to develop software in a sustainable pace, so how do we do that?
