Hard Things Made Easy

Host
Aino Vonge Corry
Track abstract
I guess you know the feeling; sitting in a meeting or a discussion and someone mentions monads, side effects, big O notation or the visitor pattern. Tail recursion elimination, covariance, contravariance or Quicksort may also pop up, when you least expect them. All of these things that you know you once understood, but now they are gone... Or maybe you didn't quite understand them, or maybe you never listened. Anyway now you think you are loosing street cred by not being able to talk about these concepts. This track is for computer scientists what an evening class in Monet or Italian is for non-CS (I hesitate to call them "normal") people.
