Embedded technologies and the Internet of Things

Host
Simon Ritter
Track abstract
The world around us is evolving and becoming much smaller at a rapid pace due to technologies that make the connection of people-to-people much easier. Technological evolution is also breaking barriers allowing people-to-machine interaction to be more effective, as well as allowing for more advanced machine-to-machine interaction. This new era of the "Internet of Things" is being driven by advances in embedded technologies that are permeating the world around us. In this track, attendees will learn about new development paradigms in the embedded world and how personal devices, smart cards, embedded environments, and intelligent equipment can be enriched by embedded technologies to make them more pervasive manifestations of the devices humans interact with in their everyday life.
