- Although the hipsters keep telling everyone Java is no longer cool. The Java Platform is still the major platform for developing robust applications and even powering some of these really hip languages. In this track we will hear from some of the biggest names in java development and what they are working on that will improve the way you could write software in java. Not that one talk is better than another but I think "How not to lose your hair when doing globally distributed Java development" is a great talk to round off the day with. A lesson we could all do with, well definately at my age.
